The Norwood Council on Aging provides a comprehensive program of activities designed to satisfy the physical, social, economic, recreational and psychological needs of the citizens of Norwood. This site provides essential information on the programs, activities and support groups provided through the Senior Center for seniors living in our community. The Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities (EOHLC) was established in 2023 to create more homes and lower housing costs for Massachusetts residents. EOHLC also distributes funding to municipalities, oversees the state-aided public housing portfolio, and operates the state's Emergency Family Shelter (EA) program. Visit this site for help with:

The US Department of Housing and Urban Development oversees all federally funded housing programs. In Norwood, HUD oversees the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program, and the Federal Elderly Housing properties at Kevin Maguire Housing and Frank Walsh Housing. The Massachusetts Chapter of the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials, MassNAHRO, is a membership association of local public housing authorities, community development agencies, and housing and redevelopment officials. While the National organization is concerned with Federal policies, MassNAHRO is primarily concerned with the policies of State agencies and State programs and the implications of national policies at the state and local levels.
